Then strain the contents into a sterilised jug and add fresh cold water to reach the desired volume. Cap off the jug and leave it to cool before putting it into the fridge or in a cool place out of direct sunlight. The next day, take your freshly brewed beer out of the fridge and give it a good stir. If you want to flavour your beer, add hops during fermentation (you can get these from any homebrew shop).
